Handyman Office 9.9.4 – Better planning, easier communication

Handyman software helps companies to organize their field services and service teams efficiently – from scheduling in the office to mobile work in the field. The new update version 9.9.4 introduces some exciting new features and improvements that make everyday work much easier.


Anyone using Handyman via the cloud should be aware of this: After updating to version 9.9.4, a specific data channel (port 19000) must be open in the IT firewall. This is the only way to log in correctly.

„In addition, there is now a new login process that consists of two steps:

1. first enter your customer number.
2. then log in as usual with your user name and password.

This process is temporary – it will be simplified again later this year.“

Send SMS directly to employees

„With the new version, you can now send text messages (SMS) directly from the system to your employees. This works both in shift planning and in employee management. You decide whether the message is sent to
– individual persons,
– entire departments
– or all employees.

More control over mobile tasks

There is now a new setting for companies that allow their field staff to work with the Handyman Mobile app:
Certain specifications for the display of task lists can now be set centrally for entire departments. This makes it possible to control exactly how orders and articles are displayed on mobile devices – without employees being able to change this themselves. This ensures consistency and reduces errors.

🔧 Improvements in everyday working life

Better resource planning

Some functions have been revised in the resource planner, i.e. the area for resource planning and scheduling:
If you have saved certain searches (e.g. all electricians next week), these now also retain the colors and sorting last used.
The color selection for the display of tasks and teams has been simplified.

Current checklists

The checklist templates for heating products (Cenika Varme) have been updated for customers in Norway. These can be used in mobile applications, e.g. to clearly document maintenance or installations.
