Business Central Interface Version 2.0.0.60

Right before the opening of the Directions EMEA conference GSGroup releases a new version of the Handyman Field Service Management Extension for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This release offers support for non-stock items and usability enhancements, in particular for orders and customers.

Non-stocked items

  • In BC items may be classified as non-inventory or service to mark them as non-stocked items. In Handyman non- non-stocked items are defined in a slightly different manner (number series)
  • This  version provides a translation between the two definitions so that non-stocked items can be used properly in Handyman: When using a non-stocked item in Handyman Mobile, the field “Store” is hidden.

New functionalities for contact export

  • When exporting customers, the field “Job Title” of the customer contact is exported as contact comment to Handyman.
  • When exporting a sales order or serivce order from BC, the Ship-to-Contact is exported as additional contact with the role “Ship to contact” to Handyman

Additional order information
This version provides service technicians with additional information from the BC order:

  • If the field Max. Labor Unit Price contains a value then this information is exported to Handyman as internal order description
  • Fixed an issue resulting in fault information not exported correctly within service order export

Improvements and fixes

  • If the user changes an item number of an item already exported to Handyman, then a warning is shown. This is to prevent inconsistencies in the item basic data.
  •  Handyman Extra order category 1 and 2 are now shown in all order lists
  • Date and description are now updated when the same item line is transferred a second time to BC.
